A Fall Oklahoma City Wedding Captured by a Catholic Wedding Photographer

Some wedding days feel meaningful from the moment you arrive, and Abbey & Adam’s nuptial Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Oklahoma City was absolutely one of them. Their entire day was rooted in faith, family, and genuine joy the kind of celebration that reminds me why I love being an Oklahoma Catholic wedding photographer If you’re planning a Catholic wedding in Oklahoma and want inspiration that’s both emotional and traditional, this day is everything.

Abbey & Adam’s Joyful Fall Wedding

Abbey spent her morning getting ready in one of the historic rooms inside the St. Francis offices! It was honestly the perfect setting. If you’re planning a Catholic wedding, you already know how special a nuptial Mass is and St. Francis of Assisi is one of the most beautiful Catholic churches in Oklahoma City. The marble, the moody light, the newly renovated altar… it’s everything a Catholic wedding photographer could dream of!

Like many Catholic weddings, Abbey & Adam had a “Catholic gap” three hours between the end of Mass and the start of the reception. Our first stop was Abbey’s dad’s resting place. She left him a bouquet, and we took portraits with her family. It was emotional, reverent, and such a sacred moment to capture. Next, we visited her dad’s shop a family business they still run. Taking photos under the Pat’s Auto sign with everyone together was such a beautiful tribute! Then we headed to the Wheeler District for portraits and we wrapped up at Myriad Gardens.

Their original reception venue in Automobile Alley unexpectedly fell through when the owner sold the building! This left them without a venue two months before their huge fall wedding date (10/25/25!). After 67 phone calls with no luck, Abbey’s sister reached out to her school, and Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School opened its doors. It turned out incredible!
