Classic and Editorial Wedding at Spain Ranch

There’s something so peaceful about a wedding day that just flows. Ngan & Jared’s Spain Ranch wedding was effortlessly elegant from a morning filled with tradition and family to a romantic candlelit reception in the White Barn. The whole day felt so grounded and beautiful, with timeless details, lush florals, and a calm that carried through from beginning to end.

Starting the Day with a Vietnamese Tea Ceremony

Before heading to Spain Ranch, the couple kicked off the morning with a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony at Ngan’s brother’s home. Everyone wore traditional Ao Dai (and looked so good!), and they shared a delicious Vietnamese lunch featuring roasted pig, symbolizing wealth, abundance, and good luck in the marriage. It was such a meaningful way to begin the day, honoring the bride’s culture and bringing both families together before heading into their Western ceremony later that afternoon.

Indoor Ceremony in the White Barn at Spain Ranch

Spain Ranch offers so many stunning options for ceremonies, from their iconic sycamore tree to both the White and Black barns. For Ngan & Jared, the White Barn was the perfect choice for their indoor ceremony. July in Oklahoma can be HOT, so staying inside meant they could enjoy a cool, beautiful space without needing to flip the room later.

CB Floral Design brought the most gorgeous mix of blush, ivory, and soft greenery to the space. Perfectly framing the altar and giving the whole ceremony a romantic, classic feel. Even better? The florals were a blend of real and faux stems, which helped cut down on both cost and waste. Win-win.

Why I Love Spain Ranch

Okay, I’ll say it again, I love photographing weddings at Spain Ranch. It’s tucked into nature but still just a few minutes from Tulsa, and the light in the White Barn is absolutely unreal. For photographers who love true-to-color, film-inspired images (me!), it’s the dream.

There are so many versatile options here, too. Whether you’re planning a summer celebration like Ngan & Jared’s or something more cozy and intimate in the Black Barn, this venue makes it easy to customize your day and bring your vision to life. Indoor, outdoor, minimal, maximal you can truly make it your own! Another reason I love Spain Ranch is the outdoors for portraits! Ngan and Jared’s portraits were some of my absolute favorite!

Candlelit Tablescapes & Dreamy Reception Details

The reception setup was STUNNING. The tablescapes glowed with candlelight and floral centerpieces in soft neutrals, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere. I’m obsessed with how the film photos captured that glow, especially once the sun started setting.

One of my favorite moments was the cake cutting. Ngan & Jared set up their cake table in a cozy corner near the head table, and as the sun poured in through the windows, the light was perfect. Just one of those moments that felt so simple but so beautiful.
