This Dresser Mansion wedding was definitely one for the books! It’s the only one I’ve ever booked on the day of the wedding, and let me tell you, it was such a fun ride! This wedding was a reminder of why having a professional wedding planner (and photographer!) is so important, especially when things don’t go exactly as planned. But everything turned out amazing, and the day ended up being one of my favorite weddings ever!
The Call That Started It All! A Wedding at Dresser Mansion
A good friend of mine who’s a wedding planner called me at 2 p.m. on a Friday, totally out of the blue. I knew she was at a wedding at Dresser Mansion that day, so when I saw her name pop up, I thought it was a little strange. But when I picked up the phone, she said to me: “So, do you have a wedding today?” Turns out, the bride’s photographer had mixed up the days and thought the wedding was the next day.
The photographer was 5 hours away and wouldn’t make it to the ceremony in time. So, of course, I said, “Okay, where am I going?” Fast forward 45 minutes, and I was at Dresser Mansion with time to spare before the ceremony! I shot all the details, the getting ready moments, and everything in between through to their grand exit. It ended up being one of my most memorable weddings ever!

Dresser Mansion has to be one of my all-time favorite wedding venues in Tulsa. It has this beautiful Italian villa vibe that makes every wedding feel elegant and timeless, yet still cozy and welcoming. The black-and-white classic wedding theme was stunning, and I couldn’t get enough of the bride’s strapless gown and the short party dress with the giant bow she changed into for the reception! The whole wedding at Dresser Mansion was so fun and energetic, and let’s just say the dance floor was on fire!
From the historic staircase to the chic reception space, every corner of Dresser Mansion is a dream for photos. The whole day felt like a mix of vintage elegance with a fun, modern twist, and it was the perfect backdrop for a wedding that was totally unforgettable!
